Our equipment
SUB-BSI has a selection of diving equipment that is loaned out free of charge to club members. It is assumed that the borrower has:
a valid diving certificate,
paid the club membership fee,
received training in the use and maintenance of the equipment,
been introduced to the lending procedures
The required training is provided by the garage guard by attending club dives.
In the “Garage”, SUB-BSI has a “Bauer” compressor. It has a capacity of 550 litres/min and a working pressure of 300 bar. It is connected to a bottle bank of 10×50 litres, 200 bar.
After receiving training in the use of the compressor and bottle bank, members may fill air themselves free of charge. It is emphasized that compressor maintenance and repairs are expensive. No one is allowed to use the compressors without first having received the necessary training. Training will be given to interested members before or after club trips. The garage guard is responsible for the training. If you want air without having received training, the board can be contacted.
Diving Cylinders
Cylinder sizes are 10, 12, and 15 litres. Cylinders can be borrowed free of charge for up to 3 days.
Wings
Wings can be borrowed free of charge for up to 3 days.
We also have two smaller wings with small backplates adapted for persons under 170 cm.
Regulators
The regulators all have screw fittings and two inflators. Both inflators have “BCD fittings” as SUB-BSI’s suits use this type. All regulator sets are modern, with a “long hose” and backup regulator with bungee. Regulators are loaned out free of charge for up to 3 days.
There are two sets with 150 cm long hoses, the rest have 210 cm long hoses.
Weights
SUB-BSI has some weights which are loaned out free of charge on club dives.
Dry Suits
Dry suits can be rented by members. The suit inflators have “BCD fittings” (check the fitting before leaving the garage).
Small boat
Bombard C3 inflatable boat with 9.9 HP outboard engine.
Large boat
The club has a Polarcirkel 760 Work with a 150 HP Yamaha outboard engine.
Car & trailer
The SUBUS, which is used on dive trips and club dives. It can be rented by members, upon application to the board, provided it does not conflict with club activities. Garage guards may also organize trips outside of the scheduled plan and will then have priority use of the car. Such trips must be announced on Subnett.
Two Portable Compressors
For trips, we have two smaller portable compressors.
Safety Equipment
Dive flags (several),
Oxygen kits (2 pcs),
Lines (surface lines, buoys, rescue lines),
VHF radios (2 pcs),
First aid equipment.
VHF radios are not loaned out for private trips. Organized dive trips must always have available: a dive flag, an oxygen kit, the VHF radios, a rescue line, and a first aid kit. Safety equipment (excluding the VHF radios) may otherwise be borrowed by members for day trips.
Talcum Powder
In the “Garage” we have a barrel of talcum powder. Members may take from this for use on both club and private dry suits.
